Tripwire Ends Q4 and 2008 with Record Revenue, Bookings & Growth and Appoints New Director of Sales for EMEA

Portland, OR - Feb 4, 2009 - Tripwire Inc.®, the industry leader in configuration control, ended 2008 with a record month and quarter for sales.  Turning in a record year, Tripwire revenue grew 27 percent year over year, with bookings growing 36 percent in the same time period.

Tripwire’s sustained growth, with 6,550 customers worldwide, has been fueled by its ability to address market needs for new technologies that address a wide variety of compliance activities.

In 2008, Tripwire introduced Tripwire Enterprise 7.5V, focused on helping IT address emerging issues around virtualisation security and virtual sprawl.  Tripwire continued to expand its configuration assessment product, introducing policies to address NERC; FISMA; FDCC; Microsoft Exchange and IIS; VMware ESX; Oracle 10g; ISO 27001; MiFID and enhanced support for SOX and COBIT.  Tripwire now offers more policies and remediation guidance than any other vendor in the marketplace.

ConfigCheck, a free utility developed by Tripwire, and its complementary remediation guide have been viewed and downloaded by more than 60,000 people since its introduction.  In addition, Tripwire announced tailored solutions to help retailers and hospitality merchants directly address Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards, adding to its position as a leader in file integrity monitoring.

"Delivering on the customer commitment through innovation and integrity has been our focus," CEO Jim Johnson said. "Providing more value through solutions tailored to specific customer needs that help them sleep better at night is central to our success.  Coupled with a team that consistently delivers has led Tripwire to another record-shattering month, quarter and year."

Tripwire’s EMEA employee base grew by 33.3% in 2008. In order to ensure this growth trajectory is sustained through 2009 and beyond Andrew Heather has been appointed as Tripwire’s Director of Sales, EMEA. London-based Heather brings 25 years of IT experience in sales, sales management, engineering, and technical service roles to Tripwire. He will be responsible for delivering EMEA revenue growth across four European sales teams, two in the UK, one in the Benelux, and one representing Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Heather moves to Tripwire from a leading UK Systems Integrator where he was responsible for a Data Centre Solutions business. Previously Heather was the UK sales manager at Opsware and held a number of sales roles at Network Appliance, Sun Microsystems and IBM.

Robert Kidd, General Manager, EMEA at Tripwire comments, "We welcome Andrew Heather to Tripwire. His commercial experience will be instrumental in our international growth as we ensure Tripwire’s leadership position worldwide and develop deep customer relationships."
