Tripwire® Enterprise bietet eine Konfigurationskontrolle für alle Komponenten der IT-Infrastruktur eines Unternehmens (virtuell oder physisch). Dabei erfasst Tripwire® Enterprise die Konfigurationsdetails einzelner Komponenten und macht diese über die Tripwire Enterprise-Konsole transparent und verfolgbar. Mit den erlangten Informationen erstellt Tripwire® Enterprise dann eine Basiskonfiguration für jede Komponente, um diese mit der Konfigurationsbeurteilungsrichtlinie zu vergleichen oder mit einer späteren Konfiguration einer bestimmten Komponente abzugelichen. So ist es möglich, unzulässige Änderungen zu erkennen und die IT-Abteilung zu warnen.
