SIEM Alone Is Not Enough

A recent study of security leaders of enterprise-level organizations came to the conclusion that security information and event management (SIEM) is dead. More precisely, the study concluded that traditional SIEM solutions don’t provide organizations with adequate protection against today’s cyber threats. What’s really missing from a security standpoint is the ability to combine the valuable data from multiple security controls to see what’s really happening. This combination can add stateful context to suspicious activity so that IT security can determine if security is at risk, or if the activity is business-as-usual.

In this webcast, learn why SIEM is most definitely still alive and kicking as we discuss:

  • True shortcomings of traditional SIEM solutions
  • Why security controls that are utilized in isolation are limited in providing useful indicators of data breaches
  • How an alternative approach to IT security that combines state data from multiple security controls provides more advanced incident detection, adds a layer of risk context, and provides more intelligent security for protecting your data.

Register, then listen to learn how you can use your SIEM solution, along with your other valuable security controls like file integrity monitoring and security configuration management to protect your valuable data and critical infrastructure.
