GCSx Code of Connection (CoCo)

Improving security whilst reducing costs

Government local authority offices in the UK are now required to meet the Code of Connection for the Government Secure Intranet (CoCo for GSI) to connect to the Government Connect Secure eXtranet (GCSx) network. Local authorities who connect through the infrastructure must adhere to information security controls defined by Code of Connection (CoCo) for the Government Secure Intranet (GSI) and GCSx, Memorandum Number 22.

Tripwire provides protective monitoring to Local Authorities by collecting, analyzing, and comparing information from physical and virtual environments to the accepted security policy.

Tripwire delivers a comprehensive solution by:

  • Monitoring network and device configurations for all changes or suspicious events for continuous CoCo compliance.
  • Providing real-time alerts to notify IT of changes or event activities that impact network security to increase incident response speed.
  • Providing a solid audit trail that demonstrates compliance with CoCo 3.2 and is scalable to IT Healthchecks required in CoCo 4.1 via detailed records of all change and event activities.
