Tripwire Enterprise for Directory Services is the Tripwire Enterprise component that provides independent configuration auditing and control for Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)-compliant directory services objects and attributes such as LDAP schema, password settings, user permissions, network resources, group updates, and security policies. Additionally, Tripwire Enterprise for Directory Services detects changes to many Active Directory objects. This component broadens Tripwire Enterprise's coverage of the IT infrastructure, extending its single point of configuration change control for ensuring that all changes are visible, all changes are planned and authorized, and that all unauthorized changes are investigated.

By providing increased visibility into directory server settings, Tripwire Enterprise for Directory Services enables staff to quickly reconcile changes with authorized work orders and focus remediation efforts on the unauthorized changes. The Enterprise for Directory Services component identifies what changed, who made the change, when, and how the change was made. It supports your service quality and security initiatives, plus provides auditable data that simplifies IT audit preparation.
