FISMA Policy

Federal agencies have the duel responsibility to meet the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) requirements and protect critical information security assets. Strong security engenders trust. To confidently share information and resources all parties need to trust that the people allowed to access the network and information resources are who they say they are. Tripwire has developed its FISMA policy based on the NIST standard, which is accepted standard for FISMA compliance. The policy uses tests from the NIST 800-53 High Baseline policy, to logically cover the technical aspects of FISMA.
