Tripwire Enterprise Operator – 2 day course
This certification course is intended for those who will be the primary operators of Tripwire Enterprise. As a primary operator you will obtain the high-level skills you will need to work with Tripwire Enterprise including:
- Creating users and access controls to secure Tripwire Enterprise objects
- Organizing and understanding nodes
- Using Asset View to classify and manage assets in Tripwire Enterprise
- Obtaining and properly importing and implementing rules and policies obtained from Tripwire
- Generating baseline information and understanding what this information looks like for each type of monitored object
- Understanding how to find changed objects and what changes look like for various kinds of node objects
- Creating Home Pages
- Creating, running, and distributing Tripwire Enterprise Reports
Prerequisites:
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP addressing
- Basic understanding of LDAP/Active Directory
- Able to create, open, edit, save, and delete text files
This course provides the basis for the Tripwire Enterprise Professional course. As such, this course is a prerequisite to the Tripwire Enterprise Professional course. Students must prove they possess the knowledge contained in this course before they may proceed to the Tripwire Enterprise Professional course. This can be done by accomplishing one of the following prior to attending the Tripwire Enterprise Professional course:
- Attending the Tripwire Enterprise Operator course
- Purchasing self-study materials and passing the certification exam for the Tripwire Enterprise Operator course
- Passing a pre-assessment exam for the Tripwire Enterprise Operator course (please inquire with your sales person to take this exam)
Student Materials
Students will receive training manuals, Tripwire Enterprise evaluation software, and access to the online Tripwire Enterprise Operator exam. After successful completion of this exam the student will receive a Tripwire Enterprise Operator certification from Tripwire Educational Services.
