Tripwire Enterprise Professional – 3 day course
This certification course is intended for those who will be the primary administrators of Tripwire Enterprise. As a primary administrator you will obtain the specific technical skills you will need to manage Tripwire Enterprise and to support Tripwire Enterprise operators including:
- Tripwire Enterprise Console and Agent installation and configuration
- Understanding the Tripwire Enterprise licensing model
- Pushing upgrades to Tripwire Enterprise Agents
- Configuring and running Tripwire Enterprise Fast Track
- Understanding and setting system preferences like severity ranges, global variables, and Active Directory/LDAP integrated authentication
- Creating Tripwire Enterprise objects like nodes, rules, actions, tasks, and policies
- Tuning and maintaining rules and policies obtained from Tripwire
- Configuring real-time monitoring and audit event generation
- Configure and use automated remediation tools and work orders
- Creating and using custom properties and conditional actions
- Customizing policies obtained from Tripwire and creating "Golden Policies"
Basic Prerequisites:
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP addressing
- Basic understanding of LDAP/Active Directory
- Able to create, open, edit, save, and delete text files
Prerequisites
In addition to the basic prerequisites, this course requires a good understanding of all the basic processes and terminology examined in the Tripwire Enterprise Operator course. The Tripwire Enterprise Operator course is always offered immediately prior to the Tripwire Enterprise Professional course because it is prerequisite for registration in the Professional course. Students must prove they possess the knowledge contained in this course before they may proceed to the Tripwire Enterprise Professional course. This can be done by accomplishing one of the following prior to attending the Tripwire Enterprise Professional course:
- Attending the Tripwire Enterprise Operator course
- Purchasing self-study materials and passing the certification exam for the Tripwire Enterprise Operator course
- Passing a pre-assessment exam for the Tripwire Enterprise Operator course (please inquire with your sales person to take this exam)
Student Materials
Students will receive training manuals, Tripwire Enterprise evaluation software, and access to the online Tripwire Enterprise Professional exam. After successful completion of this exam the student will receive a Tripwire Enterprise Professional certification from Tripwire Educational Services.
