Building community with Security B-Sides

by on February 16, 2011 David Spark

With just a couple of years of events under its belt, RSA’s alternative conference, Security B-Sides has become a smashing success, quadrupling in size in just the past year. One of the founders, Jack Daniel, Community Development Manager for Astaro Internet Security explained that B-Sides success is all thanks to the community.

I asked Jack what happened over the past year that made this conference quadruple in size. He said a lot of it has to do with the eagerness of the community just wanting to connect with each other. In just two years, B-Sides has not only grown in size, but also in quantity as satellite events keep popping up everywhere.
