by David Spark on March 3, 2010 David Spark

David Spark here reporting for Tripwire at the 2010 RSA Conference in San Francisco.

Alex Howard (@digiphile) of SearchCompliance.com gave a great summary of the first full day at the RSA Conference. He summed up what he saw with these four points:

1. Howard Schmidt, the President’s Cyber Czar announced new metrics that will give a better continuous measurement of the state of cybersecurity across different Federal agencies.

2. Real-time monitoring of compliance. You can have real-time awareness of the enterprise.

3. Social media and the rise of unstructured data within them. The Pentagon embraced managing risk of social media.

4. Cloud Computing has shifted from buzz topic to implementation. How do we move to the cloud yet still stay compliant?
