After hearing people’s frustration with the endless talk about cloud security, I was looking to find the source of the annoyance. Dwayne Melancon, Head of Products at Tripwire, suggested that it was just the endless numbers of whitepapers on the subject.

Ultimately, companies want to move to the cloud, but they are concerned about putting sensitive data in a virtual environment. Who exactly is going to vouch for that data. Melancon suggests instead of just relying on people paying attention all the time (physically impossible), that they should implement solid controls that can be monitored in an automated way.
