It is being reported that Sony Pictures’ worldwide network may have been compromised. As a result, the entire network in Los Angeles has allegedly been shut down to stem the breach.

On compromised systems in the network, an ominous message reading “Hacked by #GOP” is displayed with links to data that appears to have been exfiltrated from the organization:

According to a report by The Next Web, the redacted links in the image contain a list of filenames of various documents, including financial records and private keys for access to servers. The attackers are requesting the demands be met by November 24 at 11:00 PM GMT, in order for the files not to be released.

An anonymous source confirmed the network hack to TNW, stating “a single server was compromised and the attack was spread from there.”

At the time, no emails are going in or out of the corporation and it appears that their phone systems are down as well.
