Brian Krebs is reporting another potential mega retail breach, this time at Goodwill Industries. According to financial fraud analysts the multiple locations in as many as 21 states have been identified as compromised leading to an unknown number of credit and debit cards.
Goodwill Industries told Krebs that they first discovered a possible incident last Friday, July 18, but has not yet confirmed a breach and is working with federal authorities regarding further investigation.
The early indicators are that the breach may go back as far as the middle of 2013.
This adds to the increasing number of large organizations who are discovering their point-of-sale systems compromised including Target, Neiman Marcus, Michaels, Sally Beauty, and P.F. Chang’s.
