The Syrian Electronic Army has claimed responsibility for compromising Skype’s social media accounts (Twitter and Facebook) as well as their official blog. Skype has also confirmed that their accounts were compromised.
In one of the tweets, the SEA claim that Microsoft is monitoring accounts and selling data to the government, with more information coming:
You may have noticed our social media properties were targeted today. No user info was compromised. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.
