License Restrictions and Limitations

For all Tripwire Apps other than Console Orchestrator:

A Tripwire App license includes use on up to two licensed non-production consoles for the purpose of test and disaster recovery.

For Console Orchestrator:

A Console Orchestrator App license includes use in one inactive/standby disaster environment.

For all Asset Discovery Products:

Tripwire Asset Discovery Products are for use for port scanning (full or partial port ranges) for the limited purpose of asset discovery, including the use of Tripwire State Analyzer for reporting on listening ports.

For Tripwire Connect:

Customer’s usage of the Tripwire Connect license is limited to the maximum daily indexing volume in Gigabytes as stated on the order. License Violations occur when a Customer exceeds the maximum daily indexing volume allowed for its license in a 24 hour period. After five license violations in any rolling 30 day period, Customer data will continue to be indexed, however certain functions such as search, scheduled reports and alerts, will be unavailable (“Reset Event”). Customer must contact Tripwire support when a Reset Event occurs to request a manual reset. Customer is allowed a maximum of three manual resets during any rolling 90 day period. Tripwire is not obligated to provide a fourth reset and Customer must either reduce its indexing volume or increase the size of its license. Tripwire recommends that Customer monitor license usage and purchase a license sufficient to support its intended usage, in order to avoid License Violations and Reset Events.

Non-Production License Restrictions:

Software licenses identified as "Non-Production" on an order are designated as available for use in a non-production environment only (“Non-Production Licenses”), and any pricing included on the applicable order reflects this license restriction. Use of these Non-Production Licenses in a capacity other than in the customer's development, test or staging environments is prohibited. Non-Production Licenses can only be run on a Tripwire Enterprise Console that is also licensed under Non-Production License.

Disaster Recovery License Restrictions:

Software licenses identified as “Disaster Recovery” on an order are designated as available for use in test and disaster recovery environments only, and the pricing included on the applicable order reflects this license restriction.

Academic Institution License Restrictions:

All Tripwire Academic Institution Licenses are licensed for use per accredited academic institution based the enrollment tier for the number of total enrolled students at the academic institution at the time of purchase. Any pricing included on the applicable order reflects this license restriction. If student enrollment increases beyond the enrollment tier for the license purchased, the license must be upgraded to the applicable enrollment tier.
