Tripwire Enterprise Foundation
Tripwire Enterprise Foundation training is intended for those who will be the primary operators and administrators of Tripwire Enterprise. The material is offered in a variety of different delivery methods, listed below.
TE Foundation and Advanced Training
This 5-day class is the primary training for Tripwire Enterprise Operators, Security, Change Management, and Compliance teams.
Traditional Classroom Training
For traditional classroom training, the students attend class with a live instructor in a professional facility that is all set up for the class. All the student needs to bring is the desire to learn! Lunch and snacks are provided. These classes are held at locations around the world.
Virtual Instructor-Led Training
Virtual Instructor-Led Training joins the students and the instructor through Webex. All training exercises are performed in virtual environments, across the Internet. In addition to receiving the same training you would find in a physical classroom, you will have access to both eLearning and instructor-led training. This means less lecture, more flexibility and more opportunity for personal mentoring and consulting with an instructor when you need it.
We recommend having two monitors for this class. This allows you to follow courseware and elearning on one screen and keeping your virtual environment open on the other.
We strongly suggest that you use a phone to call in rather than using your computer for audio. If you must use your computer for audio, please use a headset vs. the built-in speakers and mic.

NOTE: It is crucial that you are in an environment with stable technology and the availability of your technical support. We cannot help troubleshoot any connection problems that are a result of bandwith, firewall, etc. on your side. Please let your IT team know that you are taking this class and have them available if needed.
Onsite training may be an option if you have a large group. In this scenario, you provide the facility and setup for the class and the instructor comes to you! The students will need to plan to be committed to the class for the week just as if they were attending a traditional classroom class. It is important to note that the training is done using Tripwire VMs and is not done on your live installation. This class is available for up to 6 or up to 12 students. We do not recommend this option if you have less than 5 students.
This option may be delivered as a virtual class as well. Please discuss this with the Training Department prior to purchase if you intend to pursue that option.
To conduct a successful Tripwire Enterprise training event on-site at your organization your training facility must meet our hardware, software, and environment requirements. These requirements are explained in the downloadable document here: TE Onsite Requirements.
Tripwire Self-Study is a download of the training material and includes access to a virtual environment to conduct the exercises within. The student who elects this method should be one who enjoys traditional learning and has the discipline to read and follow the instructions. It will be important to allow the student sufficient time to complete the material since in a classroom setting, it is a week long class. It is important to note that this is not CBT (Computer-based training) or eLearning and that it does not include instructor guidance.
